Nine Clark County Park Police Officers were presented with proclamations during the BCC Meeting on September 15th. Commissioner Tom
Collins said, ""Because of the professionalism displayed by these officers, the Clark County Park Police have been recognized and accepted
as displaying the highest law enforcement standards our community has come to expect from our Police Officers." The proclamations are the
result of recent incidents in the parks. Two were regarding narcotics and one was the capture of a fugitive wanted on murder charges. He
was on the run from California authorities for nearly thee years.
The number and types of crimes occurring in the parks is growing. Commissioner Collins acknowledged the need for more Park Police
Officers to keep the parks safe.
I am very proud to call these officers my partners and friends!
